Drone Videography creates some epic shots that really boost the cinematic feel of a wedding film. These shots take more time and some considerations you will need to factor in when having drone coverage at your wedding. Here is a breakdown of what you need to know about Drone Videography.
1. We’ll need some time during photo session dedicated to flying the drone.
While prepping for your wedding day timeline, we request that there is 15 minutes of time allotted for drone shoots during photo session. Tell your photographer right away so they can plan accordingly.
2. Weather/FAA Airspace may ground us. It such a bummer when the weather is not safe to fly or FAA has a fo not fly zone in place. Know that this is the nature and unpredictability of a wedding. The good news is, we do our best to go back to the venue to get some dramatic shots of the venue to add to the Feature Film later on.
3. We don’t fly over crowds. Not only is it unsafe, it’s against FAA standards to fly over a large group of people. This means, we will not fly over a crowd during cocktail hour, or during the ceremony.
4. Patience is key. If getting epic shots of the two of you is important, key in mind, that this will take some time to capture. We will guide you during the session to make you look your best. This is a great time (and perhaps the last time that day) it will be just the two of you alone together. Soak it in.
