This post is part of a series on this blog about my own wedding. Our clients keep bugging me to no end to share my wedding story. And to honor our 9th anniversary, I decided to blog a series of post about our wedding story.
After the engagement excitement hit it’s full adrenaline high, it’s time to think about engagement shoots. Because the next thing to do is announce your engagement! The girls at Thompson Photography Group traveled down to the Florida Keys to do this shoot with us. We really wanted to do something that fits us. We yearned for the blue waters of Jamie’s home in the Bahamas. The next best thing was the FL Keys. We both use to surf, and we felt like paddle boards would be a fun adventure to try for a shoot. I pick up things pretty quickly, and Jamie got the hang of it after quite a bit of time, but more importantly, we laughed and laughted. It was so much fun trying something new.
Later we found a long dock (Jamie’s request) to finnish up the shoot for the sunset. I just love how the photos at this dock look so much like Cape Cod. We have a love for the New England shoreline and nautical look.
Every time I look at these photos they make my heart melt. I highly recommend getting engagement photos. And investing in a photographer who you feel comfortable with. We loved working with Cassidy and Rochelle at Thompson Photography Group. LOVE is an understatement.
The next in the series will be a blog post on the adventures of getting a same-sex marriage licensee. With more pretty photos of corse! This is one post in a series of posts about Mary and Jamie’s wedding. If you would like to read more posts, click here.
