This is the first of a series of posts about my own wedding that we are finally revealing. Our clients keep bugging me to no end to share my wedding story. And to honor our 9th anniversary, I decided to blog a series of post about our wedding story.
Like any engagement story, this is not the beginning of our story, but a notable ping in the timeline of our lives. A moment that got the ball rolling -slowly- on the wedding process.
In 2008 Jamie and I were attending a formal Christmas event at The Gaylord Palms in Orlando, where she planed all along to propose. As with all stories there are two sides… She claims I was difficult and didn’t go with the plan she set in her head. Like always, I was living in the moment with no plan at all. She did some improvising, and popped the question as she handed me a parfait desert with a ring on top. While we didn’t get any photos of that exact moment, there were many pics following. Below is a photo at the beginning of the night. Our first black tie affair. We look so young then!
After the evening at the celebration at Gaylord Palms, we celebrated with family, including Christmas festivities in Orlando with our pup. Notice how I’m holding my hand so you can see my ring, have you held your hand in a away on purpose so that your ring shows?
Plans don’t ever go as planed, and that is a lesson we must learn over and over again. Which was very clear that day for Jamie at the Gaylord Palms.
Thanks for sharing in part 1 of our wedding story. Stay tuned for the 2nd part, the engagement pics! View the entire series here including our wedding photos and video.
